Wentworth Miller: The Creator of Stoker the movie!

Went's own illustration of Stoker.

News hit the news-stands and the Internet in July 2010 that Went had written a script called Stoker under the pseudonym Ted Foulke with a prequel called Uncle Charlie.
Before I continue I’d like to mention that I do believe that the Universe works in mysterious ways.
I have always had a fascination with the supernatural and the afterlife having said that, I have enjoyed reading the Irish Novelist, Bram Stoker’s Dracula over and over again.  I have also seen most of the Dracula movies too.  My favourite of the Dracula adaptations is of course, the Oscar winning Bram Stoker’s Dracula.  The Screenplay was written by James V. Hart and Directed by the brilliant Francis Ford Coppola with two of my favourite brilliant actors, Gary Oldman and Sir Anthony Hopkins.  I’ve seen this movie a good many times.  It’s one of those movies that haunts you afterwards, and leaves a sweet bloody taste in your mouth with an appetite for more. This movie has a bite to it that keeps you captivated until the very end.  To sum up it’s a Gothic romantic love story about a lover (Dracula) looking for his long lost love.  He turns out to be  a creep, in more ways than one. [She laughs.]

When I read that Went had written the script “Stoker” and he gave a nod to Bram Stoker’s Dracula when writing it …
I was so proud of Went, and overcome with excitement that I literally fell off my chair.  I can only add that great minds think alike.  [She smiles.]
Here’s a link to the movie Bram Stocker’s Dracula.
… And the trailer,
This is an interview Went did in 2007 speaking about Stoker that I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading:
Watch this video and listen at the 1 minute mark where Went talks about writing a treatment for a screenplay.
Articles read like this on the internet at the time of the breaking news about Went’s Stoker:
Stoker is a 2012 drama film directed by Park Chan-Wook and written by Wentworth Miller. It stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew Goode. After her father dies, an enigmatic uncle moves in with a girl and her emotionally unstable mother. Although she has suspicions about his motives, she finds herself drawn to him.
Wentworth Miller wrote the screenplay for Stoker, as well as a prequel, Uncle Charlie. He used the pseudonym Ted Foulke.
Went explained why he used the pseudonym Ted Foulke. "I just wanted the scripts to sink or swim on their own." [Now that’s a remarkable humble man for you.]
Went talks about writing …
Went’s script was voted to the 2010 "Black List" of the 10 best unproduced screenplays making the rounds in Hollywood.
Stoker has been filmed already and it’s in post-production at the moment.
This is an article about the actor Matthew Goode and what he had to say about Stoker and Went.
This is one movie that is definitely at the top of my list of movies and my intuition tells me that it’s going to be very successful for all those attached to it, and my intuition never lies.
Until we meet at Comic Con ...
I bid you a fond farewell!
